Get around
The CBD is a flat grid you can walk end to end in about 30 minutes, with a free tram along North Terrace and free city buses. Adelaide Metro trains, trams and buses use a rechargeable metroCARD; the tram runs from the city to Glenelg in about 30 minutes. Hire a car only for wine-region days or the Hills.
