  • The collection covers Turkmenistan's archaeology (including Parthian-era finds from Nisa and Silk Road-era Merv), ethnography, and a state-history wing on independence.
  • Labels are mostly in Turkmen and Russian; English signage is limited, so a guide adds real value here.
  • Camera and video fees, where they apply, are usually a small extra charge at the ticket counter — ask before you start shooting.
