Malabo by district
Malabo lies on a low ridge above a bay. The old town, with the cathedral and the Plaza de España, is in the middle. The seafront promenade is to the west, the central market and Semu neighbourhood to the south-east, and the quiet residential district of Paraíso to the south. Newer parts, including Malabo II and the Sipopo conference and resort area, sit east of the centre and need a car.
